Natural Oils & Butters

Apricot Kernel Oil
A light oil that is great for dehydrated, delicate, sensitive, inflamed or mature skin. High in vitamin A.

Emu Oil
An awesome oil that can be beneficial to just about anybody! When first applied it seems greasy but then after about 5 to 10 minutes you will start to notice it slowly being absorbed by the skin leaving your skin feeling so smooth! Some of its known properties are: anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, high in oleic acid - which means they are better penetrators - can penetrate through several layers of skin, won't clog pores, skin regenerative. Some uses: help with the healing of bed sores; prevention of scars when added to new scratches, cuts or burns; provides sunburn relief; massage into muscle aches and strains; helpful for arthritis pain and inflammation; assists with prevention of stretch marks; makes skin more supple;

Hazelnut Oil
Only nut oil with astringent qualities, so it is great for oily skin. Absorbs quickly. May be useful against thread veins.

Jojoba Oil
Very similar to the human natural skin oils. Penetrates rapidly to nourish skin. Helps to heal inflamed skin problems such as psoriasis and any forms of dermatitis.

Kukui Nut Oil
Excellent for skin conditioning after sun exposure and offers great protection for outdoor conditions. Great for acne, psoriasis, and dry wrinkled skin. Offers right amount of lubrication without feeling greasy. May also prevent scaring.

Macadamia Nut Oil
Acts as an antioxidant which prevents deterioration of cell membranes. Hydrating and gentle for mature skin. Easily absorbed by the skin. Helpful for sunburn and wound healing.

Shea Butter
Very moisturizing and gentle to the skin. Known to prevent stretch marks during pregnancy. Can help with scar prevention and in burn healing, soothes itchy dry skin. Absorbs deeply into the skin. Can provide protection from the harsh weather, sun or wind.

Mango Butter
Hydrating and healing. Moistens, softens, and protects the skin.

Cocoa Butter
Has softening and healing properties. Has a slight chocolate fragrance. Often used to prevent stretch marks.

Natural Additives

Sea Salt
Great for detoxifying and removing dead skin.

White Kaolin Clay
The mildest of the clays, the choice for dry and sensitive skin types. Stimulates and exfoliates without drawing oil from the skin.

Oatmeal
Skin soothing and great for oily skin. Used as a gentle exfoliant.

Milk Powders
Gentle, soothing and skin softening.

Rose Petals
Astringent and cleansing. May also soften your skin.

Chamomile Flowers
Astringent, antiseptic, cleansing, emollient and soothing.

Calendula Flowers
May help to soften your skin. Calms and soothes irritated skin. Been known to aid in healing of wounds. Calendula is a uterine stimulant, it should not be used during pregnancy. You may want to avoid this herb if you have hay fever, people who are allergic to ragweed might react to Calendula as well.

Jasmine Tea
A green tea - known to be an astringent, high in antioxidants, and have been found to have an antibacterial and calming affect on the skin. Very pleasant scent.

Lavender Buds
Stimulating, cleansing, antiseptic, good for acne.

Essential Oils

Chamomile Essential Oil
Known to be used for those who are short tempered, self involved, overly sensitive, rarely satisfied, impatient or tense. has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, anti-depressant, antirheumatic, and sedative properties.

Eucalyptus Essential Oil
properties are expectorant, decongestant, insecticide, analgesic, antirheumatic and antiseptic. Repels mosquitoes and other insects. Cools emotions, aids concentration. Effective in all types of fever, lowers the temperature, makes breathing easier, loosens phlegm. Valuable oils for treating the respiratory system.

Lavender Essential Oil
Anti-depressant, analgesic, antiseptic, antirheumatic, antispasmodic, antiviral, bactericide, decongestant, deodorant, diuretic, fungicide, sedative. Relieves anger, muscle spasms, and insomnia. Can be helpful in burns and sunburns, bronchitis, menstural problems, and headaches. Promotes growing of new skin cells. May be useful with nausea, acne or psoriasis. Not recommended in the first trimester of pregnancy.

Lemon Essential Oil
Antirheumatic, antiseptic, astringent, bactericide, diuretic, emollient, insecticide. Can help with concentration and to clear thoughts, as well as lift the spirits. Can cause extreme sensitivity to sunlight - do not use before going into direct contant with sunlight.

Lime Essential Oil
Antiseptic, antiviral, astringent, disinfectant, insecticide, restorative. Ca be stimulating in cases of apathy, depression and anxiety. Can ease coughs and chest congestion. May encourages appetite and assist in anorexia. Can assist in treating alcoholism because of its disinfecting and detoxifying properties. Can cause extreme sensitivity to sunlight - do not use before going into direct contant with sunlight.

Pink Grapefruit Essential Oil
Anti-depressant, antiseptic, diuretic, disinfectant and stimulant. Good for stress an depression. Can relieve migraines, jet lag and premenstrual tension.

Patchouli Essential Oil
Anti-depressant, antiseptic, aphrodisiac, astringent, deodorant, fungicide and insecticide. Due to its strong astringent properties may be helpful for loose skin, especially after dieting. Relieves effects from insect bites. Known as a tissue regenerator which helps stimulate re-growth of skin cells and the forming of scar tissue. Heals rough, cracked skin. Useful for treating acne, eczema, fungal infections.

Peppermint Essential Oil
Cooling, analgesic, antispasmodic, anesthetic, decongestant, expectorant, insecticide and stimulant. Should be kept away from eyes, likely to irritate skin and mucous membranes. Best avoided by pregnant women and nursing mothers as it may discourage flow of milk. May antidote homeopathic remedies. Helps people become clear headed and refreshes the spirits. Helpful for people who are unable to concentrate or who have mental fatigue. Said to relieve states of anger, hysteria and nervous trembling, excellent for depression. On the body, it has a dual action: cooling when hot and warming when cold. May relieve muscle pain, bruises, joint pain and insect bites. May be used to relieve any kind of skin irritation or itching.

Sweet Orange Essential Oil
Anti-depressant and calming. Can cause extreme sensitivity to sunlight - do not use before going into direct contant with sunlight.

Tea Tree Essential Oil
Antibiotic, antiseptic, antiviral, bactericide, expectorant, fungicide, insecticide May cause irritation on sensitive areas of skin. Gives relief to general itching from chicken pox to rashes caused by insect bites. Reduces pus in infected wounds. Clears blemishes caused by chicken pox and shingles. Useful with minor burns, sores, sunburn, ringworm, warts, and athletes foot.
